John Muir Trail at Bodega Bay : John Muir Trail is right below Bodega Bay in the Central Coast of California. Taking the Golden Gate Bridge and go North bound should lead you directly onto the US 101 HW, and follow sign to get there. It was very cold and foggy on the day that I was there, with pretty much the ocean no visible, the rock points there stand directly over the ocean with nothing below. In some of these pictures, if you look hard enough you can actually see that I was standing on one of the point and looking down, it was extremly beautiful.

Lost Coast in Northern California : Lost Coast is between the US 1 HW and the US 101 HW. There are no main freeway or major road that lead to this area because the terrain is extremely mountainous and very dangerous. To reach Lost Coast follow the US 101 HW all the way to Redway/Briceland and from there take the Briceland mountain road back down south. The driving is dangerous and difficult even though it only spanned 12 miles of road, it will take about 3 hours to cover that distance.
